Auschwitz-Birkenau full-day hosted experience
A respectful, full-day journey from Kraków to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum, with private transport, hosted briefing on the drive and time in both Auschwitz I and II-Birkenau.
Overview
A typical day begins with hotel pickup around 07:00 and finishes back in Kraków between 18:00 and 19:00, depending on the season and your confirmed entry time. On the drive you receive a spoken briefing and optional documentary video so that when you arrive you already understand the layout and function of different parts of the site.
What to expect
Most guests choose to spend the first part of the visit in Auschwitz I, where original brick barracks house exhibitions and artefacts, before continuing to Auschwitz II-Birkenau with its vast open space, barrack ruins and memorial. Depending on the time of year and your preferences, you can spend more time in particular areas – for example the exhibitions, the memorial in Birkenau or the remains of specific sectors.
This is a hosted experience in a private vehicle – not a large coach tour. At memorials and museums you walk independently at your own pace, with a map and suggested route, while we handle timings, entry and logistics.
